December 18, 2014 (Ocotillo) ---Photographer Daren Sefcik sent in this intriguing image.  He states, “On just the right day and wind conditions one could believe that the wind turbines cross the road. Of course this is not true but on a certain part of the highway it can look that way.”

"Striking" Photo

Great perspective! Gives the impression the blades could actually strike the vehicles passing by on the highway. In reality, the sad truth is those blades really do strike the birds flying by. Just imagine what a beautiful view that would be without the wind turbines. That's all we can do now.

It's even worse at night with the flashing red laser-like lights

I found it blinding, distracting and definitely dangerous when I drove past there. I truly pity the poor residents stuck with 100 of these things flashing all night long in what was supposed to be public land never to be developed.

I Agree

It's not fair to the residents. My spirit sinks every time I drive by Ocotillo, day or night. I can't imagine what it must be like living there.
